exceptional industry professionals to
the IMAGINE Music Group team. Zan Hefner, Mary
London Szpara and Jim Sellers are joining the
IMG team as Entertainment Specialists, where they
will continue to excel in the industry.

three industry professionals are a perfect

meet Zan Hefner, Mary London Szpara and Jim
Sellers!
Zan
Hefner has worked in the music
business for over 15 years for some of the largest
record labels in the world, including Atlantic
Records, Sony Music, RED Entertainment and Trauma
Records. In addition, he has worked marketing and
promoting such artists as Genesis, Bette Midler,
Phil Collins, No Doubt, Jimmy Page and Robert
Plant, Stone Temple Pilots, Collective Soul and
Kid Rock.
After
exiting the record industry, Hefner and three
music business associates founded Bandwear.com (a
full service merchandising and e-commerce platform
for musicians/bands, radio stations and the
hospitality industry) in Dallas, Texas, where
he served as VP of Sales and Marketing. In
2003, Hefner left Bandwear.com and moved with his
wife to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands to pursue a
dream of becoming a scuba instructor and Coast
Guard licensed captain.
After
spending 10 years in the Virgin Islands, Zan and
his family returned to Charlotte to continue his
lifelong passion for finding, developing and
promoting talented artists.
Mary London
Szpara is a Carolina radio veteran,
former rock deejay, program director, music
director, author and playwright who
loves music. She has also worked as a voice
actor, freelance copywriter, band manager and
booking agent. In addition, Szpara also
produced several album compilations including
Metal Mythos Vol 1 & 2 and most recently a
holiday CD to benefit the local non-profit Kids
First. Still involved in radio, she is a
co-host of
internet radio show "What in the World is Going
On?" with Ed Galloway and Jack Daniel. (WEND 106.5
The End).
Szpara
has honed her creative skills to write
radio skits, and later applied those skills to
create advertising campaigns for clients when she
formed her ad agency, Londonvox Productions Inc,
where she has maintained a high profile in
freelance voice acting. In addition, Szpara
recently made her literary debut
with her self-awareness journal
"The Loss World."
In
addition to her successes, Szpara is
involved with several non-profit groups,
including Kids First and The Central Carolina
Liver Association, just to name a
few.
Jim
Sellers is a Los Angeles, Calif. native,
but has lived in Charlotte, N.C. for the past 23
years.
He
has an extensive, 23 year career in the music
industry. Sellers worked as a Promotion Marketing
Manager for Elektra Entertainment, East/West
Records, Giant Records, and he was Co-National
Promotion Director for Chrysalis
Records.
In
addition, Sellers was instrumental in the breaking
of such artists as Pat Benatar, Huey Lewis &
the News, Blondie, Billy Idol, En Vogue, Kenny
Wayne Shepherd and other nationally and
internationally known artists and
bands.
After taking a
break from the record industry, Sellers has joined
the IMAGINE Music Group team to continue to pursue
his passion for music.
